Appreciate what you have..or else!

Recently, I participated in the "Secret Santa" gift giving that we had at my job. At first I was reluctant because people seem to be funny about the gifts one gives but I decided to go ahead and make someone else happy for a change.

We all picked one name each. We were then supposed to SPEND no less than $20 on that gift for the person we each picked. That name would also have the item that they wanted as a gift. I picked a name. Beside that name it had the words "anything". I then went out to get a gift that I thought they would like. That gift was one of those armband radios with the alarm clock feature. It also had "Bass boost" with it. I presented that gift and much to my dismay, they did not like it.

Never mind that I stood in a long line inside the store that I bought that gift from(The line was 10 people deep and they had HUGE shopping carts full of items!).

Forget about the fact that before I could get the item, that I had to get a cashier to get the item from the locked glass display that it was sitting in.

And let's not forget that I had to HIDE said item from the thief that currently is at our house( I wish I could catch thier @#$$%!!).

What ever happend to getting a gift and being happy with it because it was the season for gift giving? Why do some people do no appreciate the fact that you had taken the time out of your day to get them a gift, minutes you will not get back?

Well, I decided to take back the radio and make it my own. HE willl have to wait till after the holidays to get his gift card. I figured getting one will at least let them get their own gift.

I guess they will be shopping while I will be listening to my new radio!

Merry Christmas Everyone and may everybody have a great New Year.

I mean that!

I've stopped taking part in the "Secret Santa" thing where I work...my name always got pulled by one of the janitors. I kept getting really crappy gifts like broken Christmas ornaments, freebie ink pens, a post-it note pad, etc. Really pissed me off when I took the trouble of trying to find nice gifts for the people I had drawn.

Hey...didja ever get the Gamecube back?

If I ever do this secret santa thing again, that person will just get a gift card! Let them buy their own gifts!

I wished I could get it back but the damn thieves got away with it but hey, what goes around, comes around! I will let God handle that business!!!
